Domestic acceptors

After you receive an offer you must respond to it by accepting, deferring or declining the offer. It is very important that you read your offer carefully and follow any instructions outlined in the offer. If you do not accept or defer your offer, it will automatically be withdrawn after census date of the commencement semester.

Accepting an offer

Complete the online acceptance form by the appropriate deadline:

Semester 1 (February start) Semester 2 (July start)
31 January 10 July

The next step after accepting your offer is to enrol in your program. Please be aware that most enrolments do not take place until around two weeks before the program is due to start.

If you have any questions about your offer, please contact Admissions.

Deferring an offer

If you have been made an offer of admission, you may be eligible to defer your enrolment. Please do not accept your original offer.

Declining an offer

If you have received an offer that you do not wish to accept or defer, you should notify the University that you are declining your offer. To decline your offer, please email the ANU Admissions Office and include:

  1. your full name (as it appears on your passport)
  2. your ANU ID number or UAC number
  3. your date of birth
  4. the name of the program you have received an offer for that you wish to decline

An admissions officer will respond to let you know that your notification has been received. Please allow a week for the response.
