Single-subject study
Non-award programs allow you to study courses without the intention of receiving an ANU degree or other award.
To be accepted and enrol into a non-award program, you must meet the prerequisites of the course or courses you have applied for.
Fee paying non-award
Where the course or courses studied at ANU are not part of a program leading to a degree or award. This type of study is not commonwealth supported and requires the payment of full fees for the course(s) taken.

Cross-institutional study
Where the courses you take at ANU count towards a degree at another Australian university. This type of study may be commonwealth supported if a student has a commonwealth-supported place at their home institution.

Exchange
Where the courses you take at ANU count towards a degree at a non-Australian university. Fees are typically paid at the home institution at the student’s normal rate. Student exchange is part of our Student Mobility Program.
